AP1: Charles’ Law (details about what’s due were posted in Friday’s post). Started MO theory.
AP3: more MO theory
AP1: Charles’ Law (details about what’s due were posted in Friday’s post). Started MO theory.
AP3: more MO theory
AP3 and AP4: Charles’ Law lab. I need from each pair the graph of length v. temperature and a calculation of absolute zero (the temp at which the length would have been zero.
AP3 and AP4: we started Molecular Orbital theory.
H8: sample nomenclature test. Real test is Tuesday.
AP 1, AP3, Ap4: VBOODS and resonance
H8: finished nomenclature (acids)
AP4 and AP1: more VBOODS, including triple bonds and consecutive double bonds.
H8: bonding test and the beginning of nomenclature
AP1: Test on Baby bonding. some clean up and the Boyle’s Law Lab. You lab is due next tuesday. What I expect is explained in yesterday’s post.
AP3: more VBOODS. double bonds, triple bonds, multiple doubles, etc.
AP3 and AP4: Test on Baby Bonding. Some cleaning and Boyle’s Law lab. Your goal is to calculate the volume of the space in the tube between the syringe and the pressure sensor. I need (from each pair) the following: P v. V graph, any other graph(s) needed to compute the answer and your math by Monday, November 23rd.
H8: review for test on Bonding
All AP classes reviewed for next week’s test (Monday for AP3 and AP4, Tuesday for AP1). On test day, each class has a double period. We will do Boyle’s Law with the other period.
H8: Shapes and structures and polarity
AP1: finished unit (LDSs, VSEPR, polarity). Model building
AP3: started serious bonding (Hybridization and Valence Bond theory)
ALL AP CLASSES: review on Friday, test is Monday (AP3 and AP4) or Tuesday (AP1)
All Students: the VSEPR sheet is posted here.
AP3 and AP4: finished LDS (including formal charge, VSEPR theory, and polarity). Model building.
H8: VSEPR Theory
AP3: finished LDSs including violators, resonance, odd numbers of electrons and formal charge
AP4 and AP1: almost finished LDSs (everything listed above except formal charge)
H8: finished LDSs and started VSEPR theory (definitions and some popping of balloons)
